Frequently asked questions
Find answers to common questions about Pumpin' inflatable surfboards. If you can't find what you're looking for simply contact us.
What is the recommended pressure?
We recommend inflating your Pumpin’ board to 15–18 PSI for optimal performance. At this pressure, your board feels stable, responsive, and fast-paddling.
Important: Air and water temperature can affect pressure — colder water conditions may require slightly more PSI, while hot sun can increase internal pressure. Never leave your board in direct sunlight, as it will damage it.
How long does it take to inflate/deflate?
Fast! Pumping your board takes around 1–2 minutes with the standard hand pump. Deflating and packing it down into the backpack is just as quick, so you’ll spend more time surfing and less time setting up.
What skill level is it for?
Our boards are perfect for beginners, intermediates, and casual surfers. The stability helps new surfers build confidence, while the responsiveness lets more experienced riders have playful sessions. Basically: anyone who wants softboard fun in a packable format.
Can I surf in all types of waves?
Pumpin’ boards are versatile enough for small to medium waves — perfect for beach breaks, fun rollers, and playful surf spots.
How do I store my board?
Always deflate and rinse with fresh water after use. Roll it up and store in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in hot cars — this keeps the material happy and your board performing at its best.
Can I leave my inflatable surfboard inflated between surf sessions?
It’s best not to leave your board inflated. Even high-quality PVC can expand or soften in heat, which may affect performance over time. Short breaks in the shade are fine, but never leave your board in direct sunlight. For long-term care, it’s always best to deflate, rinse with fresh water, and store rolled up in a cool, dry place.
Can I travel with my inflatable board on a plane?
Absolutely! Pumpin’ boards are designed to fit in a backpack, making them easy to travel with! Either on planes, trains, or in your car — no oversize fees required. Just make sure it’s fully deflated and packed securely, and you’re ready to surf anywhere.
What fins does it use and can I swap them?
Each board comes with clip-in fins for quick setup, no tools needed. They’re easily removable, and you can swap them for compatible aftermarket fins.
